The Reinvent media group was founded by Dr. Kevin Ham, a family doctor who wanted to focus his medical practice on his patients and not on the constraints of time or money. In 1999, Kevin began, like many Internet startups, in the living room (as opposed to the garage), as a way to generate additional income during his medical residency. Seven years later, Kevin remains driven by an insatiable commitment to the Internet as a vehicle for human innovation and progress, with the faith that the Reinvent media group will impact the world through its virtual real estate, such as Mother.com, Religion.com, GoodNews.com, HDTV.com and thousands of its other online properties.
In 2000, Kevin was joined by his long-time high school friend, Colin Yu. As the company continued to grow, the two collaborators dedicated all of their waking hours to building the business with specific principles and a distinct vision. These principles are the driving force of the Reinvent media group, and the basis for turning that vision into reality.
In 2007, Reinvent began to focus on building out its virtual real estate and has put in place the necessary infrastructure to do so, looking to grow organically, through partnerships and acquisitions.
