Editorial (Vancouver) - Gospel Media Network
Reinvent Technology aims to rethink, reconnect, and redesign technology and business by leveraging a platform built upon our millions of direct navigation visitors. Located right in downtown Vancouver, with a killer view of the North Shore mountains, our space is filling up with a passionate group of people who all set their alarms on Monday morning to get up for something more than just a pay cheque. We are looking for some creative people to develop the content for websites that are part of our Gospel Media Network (a division of Reinvent).
As Editorial – New Christian Media, you will be working closely with our CEO on sites such as God.com, Heaven.com, Rapture.com, Religion.com, Christians.com, and MyBible.com. Collectively, these sites will act as informative and interactive places online where Christians from around the world can learn, grow, explore and connect through their faith. We are looking to build the biggest Gospel Media Network in the world.
Your main responsibilities include:
1. Researching and sourcing Christian related content, including licensing content.
2. Writing content for the various websites.
3. Passionate interest in Christian literature, history and the Bible.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
1. Understanding evangelical Christian user’s interests, behaviour, and core values.
2. Conversant in theology and socio-cultural issues impacting the Christian Church, with the
ability to interact with corporate and religious communities.
3. Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).
4. Skilled in time management and organization techniques.
5. Strong knowledge of the English language, including grammar, spelling and punctuation.
6. Strong research skills.
7. Skilled in writing informative, unique articles for web content.
The following skills would be beneficial. We would be super excited if you had:
1. Bachelor's or advanced degree in English or journalism
2. Strong knowledge of Excel and MS Word.
3. Knowledge of SEO techniques.
