Reinvent Technology, Inc. Appoints Dr. Christopher W. Hartnett to Board of Directors
Experienced industry veteran joins board
VANCOUVER, B.C. – Reinvent Technology, Inc., the global media and Internet technology company, announced today the appointment of Dr. Christopher W. Hartnett to its Board of Directors. The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global Media, LLC, Dr. Hartnett brings to Reinvent more than 25 years’ experience in international business development within the telecommunications and Internet industries. Dr. Hartnett’s broad background in global sales, new product marketing, finance and operations, combined with his extensive Internet development technology concentration, will provide strategic depth and guidance to Reinvent’s Board of Directors.

According to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), in 1994 Dr. Hartnett was the world’s largest private owner of Internet Domain Names. His collection currently contains more than 3,500 “global” domains and 28,000 other premium domain names. Dr. Hartnett is the founder and retired Chairman of USA Global Link, Inc., Global Online, Inc.(GOL) and the publicly traded Global Online India, Inc. (GOLX). He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of these companies since their inception and subsequent successful liquidation and mergers in June 2001. From 1992-2001, USA Global Link, Inc. was the world's largest provider of discount international telecommunications services with in excess of 5,750 agents and employees, and staffed offices in more than 160 countries and territories. Dr. Hartnett currently holds numerous other executive and director positions outside of Reinvent, and serves in governance roles on other corporate boards.
